One Day Media Workshop
A one-day media workshop was organized at the Civil Services Academy, Lahore for the officers of the 53rd training program.
Specially invited media and communication experts provided participants with detailed insights on the use of *Artificial Intelligence (AI)* in media management and the latest trends in media relations. Officers from various service cadres also took part in practical exercises.
During the workshop, former Director General of the Information Services Academy *Saeed Javed, Controller IR at **PTV Headquarters Muhammad Naveed Azhar, PTV World host and IT expert **Muhammad Bilal*, among other experts, briefed participants on the various dimensions and challenges of media management. Practical exercises were also conducted on holding press conferences, delivering press briefings, and engaging effectively with the media.
The experts emphasized that in today’s era, alongside traditional media, it is essential for civil servants to have full awareness of *social media*. They stated that officers must develop effective communication skills with the media to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of policy decisions and key government initiatives to the public.
Participants described the workshop as extremely beneficial and a timely initiative. They expressed that it would not only assist them in effective media engagement but also prove helpful in their future roles in public service. The special lecture on *Artificial Intelligence (AI)* was particularly appreciated by the attendees.
