Mr. Suhail Aamir
Director General, CSA
The Director General, Civil Services Academy, Mr. Suhail Aamir, is a seasoned civil servant with diverse public sector experience. He joined civil services as an officer of the District Management Group, now the Pakistan Administrative Service in 10th Common Training Programme and has worked both in Federal and Provincial Governments. During his career in civil services spanning over thirty-six years, he held important positions from being the Secretary to the prime Minister and Secretary, Cabinet division, Government of Pakistan to being Deputy Commissioner of various districts in Punjab. Likewise, he has served as a Federal Secretary, Religious Affairs & Inter-faith Harmony & Secretary, Overseas served as Secretary Housing, Urban Development & Public Health Engineering Development, Secretary, Local Government & community Development, Secretary, Cooperatives& Member, Board of Revenue. He also served in the non-profit sector which helped him to interact with communities at grass root level. He has served as Director Capacity Building/Chief Instructor Public Administration as well as Director Finance and Administration at the Civil Services Academy Lahore from 2004 to 2006 and as joint Director, Civil Services Academy PAS Campus from 2003 to 2004.
Mr. Suhail Aamir did his MA in English from government College, Lahore before Joining service and obtained LLB degree during service. He also has the distinct honour of being a Pearson Fellow (1990-91), which was a highly competitive Canadian Fellowship in public administration and management. He inter alia, attended the Executive Development Programme at John F Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, USA. He has represented Pakistan at multiple International Forums.
He Holds a vision for a vibrant, effective and compassionate civil service and civil servants having deep awareness about the problems faced by people of Pakistan at grass root level; a civil service with modern outlook and savvy with using the information & communication technologies for the benefit of the public service.
He joined as the Director General Civil Services Academy on 20-08-2018.
Mr. Asim Iqbal
An Officer of 25th Common Training Programme from the Pakistan Administrative Service had the opportunity of serving at various districts and Provincial/Federal departments where he was able to bring improvements in the public sector service delivery. During his career in civil services, he held important positions from being Assistant Commissioner and District Coordination Officer (DCO) in various districts. He also served as the Secretary, Housing Urban Development & Public Health Engineering Department, the Secretary, (Implementation & Coordination), S&GAD, the Secretary, Human Rights & Minorities Affairs, the Secretary, Zakat & Ushar, Government of the Punjab as well as the Secretary, Excise and Taxation, Balochistan.
He has done B.Sc. (Electrical Engineering) from the University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore, M.Sc. (Development Economics) from SOAS (University of London) and MPA from Harvard Kennedy School, USA. He joined the Civil Services Academy in August, 2019 and is presently serving as Director, Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) at CSA. He is endeavouring to inculcate a sense of responsibility in the Probationary Officers and to make them more responsive to the gaps that exist between public policy and needs of the public.
Ms. Ammara Aamer Khattak
Additional Director (PAS)
Ms. Ammara Aamer Khattak is an officer of Pakistan Administrative Service belonging to the 34th Common Training Programme (CTP). She has worked on different field and desk assignments in Punjab, Sindh &Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She was the first ever female Deputy Commissioner of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as Deputy Commissioner Attbbottabad; and, Additional Commissioner and has also remained Additional Commissioner, Hazara Division.
Ms. Ammara Khattak has done LLB, LLM and has also remained scholar of Fulbright Leadership Programme. She was awarded the Best Fellow Award in the Comprehensive Crises Management Course 2016 from the Asia Pacific Centre for Security Studies, Hawaii, USA.
She is currently serving as Additional Director (PAS).
Mr. Rehmat Wali Khan
Deputy Director (PAS)
Mr. Rehmat Wali Khan has worked his way up the education, training, research and administration industry ladders. He started off on the education side as a teacher and then spent time in School Administration, Teachers’ Professional Development, Community Welfare, Human Resource Development (HRD), Project Management, Training and Research at national and international levels. Before joining Civil Services Academy (CSA), Lahore as Deputy Director (PAS) he served as Consultant-Research with British Council, Pakistan.
Mr. Khan has recently completed MS in Project Management from COMSATS University. He also has two Master Degrees of Education in his name: one from Australian Catholic University, Australia and the other from the University of Karachi, Pakistan.
He can speak 4 languages, has travelled to 10 countries and worked in 8 countries on different short and long term assignments.
